Issam Mohamed is a PhD candidate in Civil and Environmental Engineering at the Faculty of Engineering of Western University. He is interested in researching the intersection of compound and concurrent extreme weather events, exploring their projected co-occurrence amid the warming climate. Considering how distant climate factors influence the local conditions and factoring in climate anomalies, he is keen to understand the interplay of teleconnections and unravel the complexities of these events. Grasping these interconnected influences might help prepare for and adapt to evolving challenges. At WeCLISH Centre, Issam expects to share his knowledge and experiences with scholars with similar interests.
